Pros: Lots of features for the price

Cons: can't fully utilize s-vhs unless you have the right vcr.

The Bottom Line: Great camcorder for the home movie crowd.

After researching camcorders for months I finally broke down and bought this one. Great price and great features for the price. It's the only one in this price range (at the time I bought it) that has the remote control.

This is a really easy to use camcorder. And it's easy to play back the tapes. I picked this format just for that reason. The only feature that I wish it had was computer compatible software to edit the tapes. But since I'm a first timer this is a great camcorder for me.

The JVC models were also more comfortable to hold than the Panasonic models that I tried. I have smaller hands and holding the Panasonic for any length of time was really uncomfortable.
