I bought both these and a set of Sennheiser RS 65 (which are supposedly the best RF quality that Sennheiser has). And these are much better for distances, and they are more comfortable (in my opinon) than the Sennheiser. At about 1/3 the price, this is a great buy, and an excellent choice for Wireless headphones. Even though they come with recharagable batteries, they are AA so you can use any AA battery you want (though JVC warns against using other AA's in the little book that no one pays attention to).
The only downside to these was that when my sound stopped and the transmitter turned off, I was able to hear my neighbors phone conversations, thought that is a problem more with her phone, than with my headphones (which are just playing the loudest signal).
