First, I have never used a juicer before we received this one so I can only go off of what I have experienced and I have no knowledge of other juicers to compare this one against. With that said, let me start by saying that this juicer is amazing. I am currently doing the juiceing thing of drinking two juices a day and a healthy dinner with the family and I will say that this machine has performed very well. I have used a variety of vegatables and fruits and it has handled all of them with relative ease. I say relative because I have had two instances where it got a little clogged and I had to clean out the top feeder part.

Second, the juices this machine makes are fabulous!!! It makes a good amount of juice and discards the rest into the waste container. The juices are refreshing and way better than the store bought juice. Except for the Cran-grape juice, I will not be buying any more store bought juice, if I can help it. I really have to admit that some of the drinks I make are a combination of whatever fuits and vegatables I find in the fridge, but I really like the way this juicer just keeps chugging along, grinding whatever I shove down the tube.
Third, I really am glad we have this juicer because we borrowed it from my cousin who purchased it a few years ago and only used it 2-3 times. However, if I bought a juicer, I wish I would have chosen this particular brand and model. The juices are delicious and the clean up is simple and can be messy. If you place a plastic bag in the waste catcher, there are just four pieces to clean, the top feeder part, the blade (which is very sharp, the strainer and the drain/pouring part (be advised, I did not name the pieces correctly but I know which piece I am typing about...). If you perform the clean up in the sink with running water, it is simple and can be kind of yukky, but it should take the normal person between 3-5 minutes and you can enjoy your drink with no worries. I take this approach because my cousin stated her kids used the juicer when she first bought it and did not clean it after using it and after a few days of sitting a few days, bugs began flying around in her kitchen and they made a home in her juicer....YUK!!!!
Last, I am very satisfied with this juicer and I consider it a keeper....it is not as valuable to me as the fridge or microwave, but it does exactly what I need and it does it in a timely manner. The total time to make a juice is about 10-15 minutes, depending on what I add and if anything needs to be cut into smaller pieces. I personally cut most items in half or in smaller pieces so I can just grab and shove them down the feeder. The pusher thingy is great, the tube is a good size and my one negative about this is that the juice spout is only high enough to place a regular sized measuring cup under. But that is okay since most of my juices are between 16-32 ounces and best of all, no added sugars. In the event my cousin wants it back, I will keep this one and buy her a new one. Also, on the website, the replacement parts are inexpensive.
If anyone is searching for a juicer, just remember, Jack Lalanne was one of the fittest men to walk this earth and he talked about fitness and juicing as long as I can remember and he looked good and was in phenomenal shape. So if he says something works, I would be inclined to believe it because he was a serious fitnees guru that practiced what he preached.....happy juicing folks!!!!
