Pros: Scent, small tube is very portable, hydrating
Cons: pricey, scent is not always appropriate, takes awhile to absorb
The Bottom Line: I do recommend this product for those looking for a portable tube of hand cream who have the extra cash & adore a good buttercream scent.

| bops_mom's Full Review: Jaqua Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Creme |
I had given Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting scent the sniff test many times and knew it was a scent I wanted within my grasp. So I was pretty excited when I put Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème on my Christmas wish list knowing I would end up with a tube. Product Information Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème is packed in a small, clear flip top tube. The tube holds just 2 fl. Oz. of product and will cost you around $8.00. The scent is dead on buttercream frosting; nothing fake or plastic about it. It smells exactly like you walked into a bakery while they were frosting a cake. It kind of makes me want to lick my hands. The only thing stopping me is knowing my hands would probably taste like soap even if they smelled like buttercream. What the tube says: “Our best selling buttercream frosting fragrance in a hand crème formulated with meadowfoam seed oil, herbal extracts, and vitamins A & E to keep hands sexy soft all day!” My Experience It takes just one large pea sized drop to adequately cover both of my hands. I’ve found I really have rub in Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème and even then my hands are left feeling a bit greasy. It’s not like crazy oily, but I don’t go touching my glasses or iPod right after applying Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème, either. Until the hand crème is fully absorbed I’m left with a noticeable shine to my hands. It’s kind of weird and not usually something I get from a hand crème. For me and my dry hands it takes up to 10 minutes for the product seem to fully absorb. After applying Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème my hands definitely feel softer and smoother. Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème is definitely a hydrating product. I don’t think you’d need to have crazy dry skin to appreciate its use, but if you had zero real need for a hand crème, don’t bother with this product. Likewise if your hands are to the chapped and splitting point this product likely won't do much for you except smell nice. I’m not gonna lie – I think $8 is a little steep for a small tube of hand cream. That said the scent alone is worth $8 if you really love buttercream. I like the buttercream scent; it’s something I enjoy smelling like how I enjoy walking into a bakery. But I wouldn’t really want to smell it 24/7. For me it could become a bit nauseating but not everyone will feel the same way. I’ve found the scent tends to fade away after an hour or so but depending on how often I wash my hands I might still catch the hint of buttercream even 8 hours after using Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème. And so I’d be lying if I said Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème was the best hand cream I’ve ever used. That title still goes to L’Occitane’s Shea Butter Hand Cream. But L’Occitane’s portable tube costs $10 for just 1 ounce of product and having a small portable tube of hand crème is something every girl needs for her hand bag especially as winter approaches. If you’re a fan of sweet, foody scent you’ll probably adore Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting Hand Crème and if you do $8 may not be too big of a splurge for you to try it out for yourself.
