Pros:Great scent, fresh feeling, completely gets rid of dandruff, natural
Cons:A little spendy
The Bottom Line: I have never been so satisfied with a shampoo. It leaves my hair shiny and clean and has completely rid my life of dandruff. Well worth the $10.
I was recently living in Southern California for a half a year and upon my return to the good ole Pacific Northwest my dandruff had completely gotten out of control due to the contrasting climates. I have always had dandruff issues, but my girlfriend pointed out how worse it had gotten where flakes were literally snowing off my head. I’ve used other dandruff shampoos in the past like Head & Shoulders and Selsun Blue, but they didn’t do anything whatsoever so I decided to take a more natural route and perhaps spend more money on a product that might actually help my problem.

Again, I’ve been struggling with dandruff my whole life and I have finally found a cure: Jason Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Shampoo. I have a pompadour look to my hair now and it’s semi-short on the sides and long on the top. I squeeze out about a quarter sized bit of shampoo on my palm and work it through my hair, scratching it deep into my scalp for a few minutes before leaving it alone and rinsing it off after another few. The first time I used this product it burned a little bit as if there was a menthol ingredient to the ‘poo (the new slang term--I think it’ll catch on!). After I rinsed it out I discovered that my scalp felt completely refreshed.
Within a matter of days I noticed that my head didn’t itch nearly as often and upon a close inspection of my scalp my girlfriend noted that she could run her fingers through my hair without any debris coming loose. I’m cured! After about two months of using this product my dandruff is completely gone. I only use the shampoo product and not the conditioner (which is five dollars more) because the shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft and silky without the added moisturizer. All of the protein adds a rich smoothness that is something I haven’t really felt in a long time what with the cheaper brands of shampoo I had been using.
This 17.5 ounce bottle of Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Shampoo was available for about nine dollars at a supplemental store and wasn’t at my local grocery nor organic co-op. On their official website (www[dot]jason-natural[dot]com) I looked up exactly where this product was sold and it’s not everywhere. However, if you do find it it’s definitely worth the price and retails for between 7-10 bucks, which is worth it considering how my bottle has lasted me about two months after washing everyday with about less than a quarter of the bottle to go. It’s a little pricey, but given how much enjoyment I’ve gotten out of it--it’s worth the sum.
Tea Tree Oil is a beautiful scent and something I look forward to every chance I take a shower. The scent is refreshing and alluring and stays in my hair all day long to help me feel clean and rejuvenated. My hair positively shines and is the healthiest it’s been my whole life due to this fantastic product. I can’t recommend it enough save for the fact that I’m sure whenever someone spots it in my shower I look like an ego-maniac for using a cosmetic that carries my actual name….but that’s a whole other story. Check this out if you have a dandruff problem like I had recently--you’ll be cured.
