humveelh's Full Review: Audiovox CDH-1000 Car CD Player
Imagine this. You get into your car, and where your head unit is there is a black bar. You start your car and the bar remains. You push the top right corner of the bar and like magic, a head unit emerges from your car. A flip down button panel and fully lit LCD screen let you know its alive. You pick up the remote and fiddle with the new head unit. You push the button in the lower right hand display and the button panel disappears, and the LCD main display drops, revealing a CD player!
You drive down the road and test out your new CD player. You push up the volume, crank up the bass, hit the LOUD button, and if your car has speakers anything like mine does, your doors shake and your windows rattle. Thats right, this CD player by Jensen pumps out a screaming 40 watts per speaker, unreal. With a small built in amplifier the bass is powerful.
With only about $170 and 2-2 1/2 (self) Installation time, you can have this cool CD player in your car. and even if the bass doesn't satisfy your needs, a convenient Preout for amps is there when you need it.
