Pros: Darker in three days, doesn't come off on clothes, works WELL!
Cons: Smells like burnt lotion, hard to apply to your back.
The Bottom Line: I wish I had bought it sooner. The odor is the only downside, but it's not bad enough to discontinue use.

| animal2b's Full Review: Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer |
I suffered all winter with pale and pasty upper arms. My lower arms remained darker because I often rolled up my sleeves when it wasn't too cold. Every time I saw my arms in the gym, I remarked to myself how pale they were... but I was too hesitant to buy the Jergens cream because I didn't want to fess up and tell people I bought it or used a tanning salon incase anyone caught on.
But as April approached and the warm weather set in, I bought a bottle of this stuff -- the fact that it was on sale also motivated me to buy it.
I tested it first on my shoulder -- a body part no one sees -- in case it was too orange or fake looking. The next morning, I had a tan spot on my arm and I proceeded to use it on the rest of my body.
I used it on my legs too -- and accidentally put too much on my knees. There are darker orange spots on my knees -- but no one sees my legs either, so I don't worry about it.
If you tend to be impatient and expect a quick tan, I can tell you it's not instant. It takes a while to set in and I noticed the best results the next day. My upper arms now match my lower arms -- but they're darker now.
The one complaint is the odor. It smells like burnt lotion. So, if you shower in the morning and then want to apply it, I wouldn't.
I put it on in the afternoon and shower at night so I know the lotion has had a long time to settle in. I suppose you could also put it on a few hours before bed and shower in the morning, but then your sheets might stink.
The good news is -- the stuff doesn't come off. I sweat like a beast in the gym and I didn't notice any running or streaking. It didn't stain my clothes and I wear white undershirts -- and my bed sheets are also white.
I haven't had it long enough to know when it begins to fade, but I've already done four applications and I'm now satisfied at this skin color.
Tips:
If your upper arms are paler than your lower arms, just do your upper arms the first day so they match. Then when the two skin tones match, do the entire arm -- or leg, or whatever body part has a discrepancy in color.
If you have someone else who can apply it to your back, ask them to do so. I don't and it's pretty tricky covering your entire back with this stuff. As a result, there is one area on my back that is slightly darker because I applied it twice to the same spot in one treatment trying to reach the middle part of my back.
If you put too much on or are not happy with how it looks, I accidentally discovered that sea breeze face wash gets the stuff off. I have a little bit of acne on my shoulders and use sea breeze on a cotton ball and when I ran it over my shoulders, the cotton pad became as tan as I did and my tan had rubbed off. This was at least six hours after I had applied it, so it really got a good chance to set in.
Over all, if you can deal with the slight odor, it's well worth it!
