I have naturally red hair, fair skin and plenty of freckles. This of course means that getting out in the sun and tanning is nearly impossible. Not to mention unhealthy! I am a huge fan of sunless tanners and I am constantly trying out new ones to see which ones work the best for my skin. Before I came across Jergens Natural Glow Face Daily Moisturizer Fair Skin Tones I was too frightened to use anything on my face. Thanks to this product I can now have that beautiful summer glow on my face as well as my body!

Sunless Tanner For The Face? Really?
Yes, sunless tanner for your face! Really! When sunless tanners first hit the market many years ago it wasn't advisable to use them on your face. Back then the tanners were prone to orange streaks and nobody wants their face to be streaked with orange! Thankfully sunless tanners have come a long way!
Jergens Natural Glow Face comes in a tube with flip top cap. The lotion itself is white in color and is fairly lightweight but still slightly creamy. There are two different formulas of Jergens Natural Glow Face to choose from. They have a Fair Skin Tone as well as a Medium/Tan Skin Tone.
Jergens Natural Glow Face Daily Moisturizer is different from other sunless tanners in that it helps to build a gradual tan over the course of several days. This tanner also has a maximum color depth that is achieved after one week. You won't get any darker, but, as long as you apply every morning or evening, you will keep your beautiful summer glow.
Jergens Natural Glow Face is oil free, and is formulated not to clog pores. This product isn't necessarily formulated to be super rich or to fight acne or blemishes. The moisturizer itself, while lightweight, still packs enough moisturizer in to soothe and soften my combination skin.
The main trick to sunless tanning of any type is to exfoliate! I do so at least twice a week and doing so helps this product go on smooth and even. To use you simply massage onto the skin in a circular motion, blending into the hairline and jaw. Be careful to avoid the eyebrows though! Also keep in mind that it doesn't take much. A little less than a dime sized amount does the trick.
The only downside to Jergens Natural Glow Face is the scent. This is, of course, typical of sunless tanners. It doesn't smell horrible, but, it isn't necessarily a terrific scent. Thankfully it wears off almost as soon as it dries.
So, Does It Do What It Promises?
I have to admit that I was a bit worried about using sunless tanner on my face. I could just imagine winding up with uneven orange streaks! I knew I couldn't stay two toned forever though and, having had success with another Jergen's Natural Glow product, decided to give Natural Glow Face a try.
I have combination skin that is prone to breaking out quite often. I wasn't sure how Jergens Natural Glow Face was going to interact with my skin. I feared I'd suffer horrible breakouts and clogged pores, but, thankfully, that hasn't been the case at all. I simply cleanse with my usual cleanser and then apply this product in the morning and evening. It blends in easily and dries within two to three minutes. I have found that it's lightweight formula is actually really the perfect consistency for my skin. It keeps my dry areas moisturized but doesn't create an oil issue in my oilier areas. I can't exactly say I haven't broken out at all, but, I don't necessarily know that this product has been the culprit. Thankfully the breakouts have been minimal and nothing that has caused me to hide out in my house for days!
What has really impressed me is how well this product performs as far as sunless tanning goes. I wasn't sure how long it would take to first start seeing color and, as it turns out, it was only about two days! The color wasn't drastic, just ever so light. Within the first week my skin had taken on a nice light tan. Nothing dramatic, nothing that looked unnatural. I was incredibly pleased! I have continued to use Jergens Natural Glow Face and my beautiful glow has remained. I haven't gotten any darker, but, that's fine with me. This suits my fair skin tone just fine!
Overall
Jergens Natural Glow Face Daily Moisturizer is my new best friend for the spring and summer months. It gives me a beautiful natural glow and moisturizes my skin perfectly!
