| jadzia66's Full Review: JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car |
When my mother-in-law asked for ideas for Courtney's 4th birthday last September, I immediately thought of JoJo's Circus toys. At the time there weren't very many JoJo's Circus toys available to buy but Courtney did end up getting 4 different ones with JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car being one of them.
All About JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car
JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car is actually a pretty simple toy car. It's about 7 1/2 inches long by a little over 4 1/4 inches wide and about 6 1/4 inches tall. It is mostly pink in color with teal wheel wells, a yellow hood, blue wheels, yellow hubcaps and 2 purple flowers sticking out of the top.
There is an outline of a car door on the side of the Let's Get Moving Clown Car but the door itself doesn't actually open. What does open though is the trunk and the sunroof.
This car doesn't take any batteries so there are no flashing lights. There is a yellow button on the back of the Let's Get Moving Clown Car that is actually a pull string. In order to propel the car forward all you have to do is pull the string and away the car goes. What is cute is that the car wobbles from side to side as it goes forward, just like it does on the television show. In the front of the car, on the hood, you will find a button that makes a squeaky noise when pressed.
Included with the JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car is a figure of Goliath and 2 purple road signs. The Goliath figurine fits in the car and therefore your child can give him a ride whenever they feel like it. The 2 road signs included aren't your typical road signs that you normally see when out driving. One sign is triangle in shape and shows that a very twisty road is up ahead. The other one is shaped like JoJo's father who is holding a sign that says "Clown Crossing".
How We Feel About JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car
Courtney enjoys her Let's Get Moving Clown Car while I have mixed feelings about it. Don't get me wrong, it's an adorable toy car but it's pretty limited and Courtney gets bored after playing with it for a few minutes. What she does like about it though is the way it wobbles as it rolls along. She just thinks that's the funniest thing!
My feelings are mixed because I think the toy manufacturers could have made the toy a little more interesting and easier to use. For such a simple toy one would think it's operation would then be simple as well. However, the pull string which propels this car can be hard to pull out and once you do pull it it immediately starts the wheels moving. This means that once the car is put down on the floor it only goes a very short distance before the string needs to be pulled again. This frustrates Courtney and is another reason the car isn't played with for very long. Also, would it have killed them to include more figures than just Goliath, especially seeing how Goliath never drives the car in the show. Thankfully Courtney has a 6 pack of JoJo's Circus PVC figures that she manages to somewhat fit into the Let's Get Moving Clown Car so this gives her a little more variety while playing with it.
Overall, we don't love or hate the JoJo's Circus Let's Get Moving Clown Car so that makes it hard to say whether or not we really recommend it. It has it's faults, that's for sure, but it's also cute and is one of the few JoJo's Circus toys available. Our indecision is what has promted our 3 star review on this toy.
Last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank Suzanne for adding Get Up and Play JoJo to the database for me.
