Barleycorn (as those regulars would call it) is such a cool place not only to eat but to have a good time. I started out going to Barleycorn with my girlfriends to have a couple cocktails and just hang out. The atmosphere is nice- there is a main bar in the center with another in the back. In the summer the outside patio is open to eat and enjoy the weather.
As for the food, it's pretty good. They make awesome Fajaita's and killer fries! You got to get their fries (Can you tell I'm addicted?)
Barleycorn is a great place to hangout with friends practically any day of the week but if you choose to go there on the weekend, get there early. A line starts forming around 11:00pm. And if you don't have a good spot or chair you'll be smashed up against somewhere (which in some cases, could be a good thing).
Dress is casual - typical Lincoln Park dress. Nothing too fancy.
An all around good time to eat, drink , and do a little socializing.
