| Hornet's Full Review: John Deere Lt133 Lawn Tractor |
Since there are lots of reviews about the LT133, which I own and LOVE, I thought I would write a little epinion about John Deere's web support for this product.
Two words, "It's Horrible!"
I have had my LT 133 for two years now and it runs just as good as the first day I brought it home. I recently wanted to do a oil change and couldn't find my owner's manual. I have changed the oil before but I can never remember the type of oil it uses. I looked every where for the manual and no luck. So, I thought I would check the John Deere website.
What a joke! I tried several things, first the search is completely worthless for any Deere products that are 1 year or older. I searched for products from the John Deere catalog I received six months ago and got "Your search returned 0 results" I even tried doing a search for new products they list on the same website and got the same message.
I then went to another search device they have where you can search by product name and model number. That search gave me only new product results, nothing about the LT133. I started thinking that my tractor didn't exist according to the John Deere website.
I have sent two emails to the contact address listed on their website and haven't even received a automated response saying your mail was received, that was two weeks ago and I am still waiting.
Customer service from the John Deere website has been NON-existent for me. I have since gone back to my Deere Dealer and got the information I needed and ordered a new owners manual to the tune of $12.95. To me the Internet is the perfect way for these companies to distribute helpful information. I constantly look for manuals and info from products I buy and the Internet has usually been the perfect source for this information until now.
I love John Deere products but I am frustrated by the customer support that tends to be lacking from this company.
