Pros: Looks pretty, Briggs engine runs good.
Cons: Transmission, weak made mower deck, tires always losing air.
We purchased our L111 from Home Depot in 05/06' for nearly 2000.00 ..... (We spent double the price of a comparable mower thinking this one would last us many years- being its a John Deere and all) the transmission failed at only 96 hours, we had spent another 830.00 replacing that, now starting it up for the season - find out one of the mower deck spindles is FROZEN! The customer service department is a Joke!! Never got a call back on our complaints about the transmission. I doubt we will get one this time either. Am so peeved i was buying a brand i trusted, only to find out it is a Major piece of Junk!!! No wonder they wont do call backs!!Was even told by a repair person that the ones bought at Home Depot and Lowes are second rate tractors. WOW!!! So much for buying a name brand!! I will never buy another John Deere ever again!!!! Also so many other issues like the paint... easily scuffs off, cotter-pins falling off of deck, Tires constantly loosing air, grass clippings dont shoot out well, pretty much requires scaping after every mowing. and its difficult to get under for repairs, no easy place to place a floor jack to lift it.
