Pros: Powerful, Fuel Efficient, Durable, and Reliable.
Cons: Has the back up P.T.O. Safety shut off Switch.
The Bottom Line: I would absolutely recommend this Tractor hands down to anyone as it is very powerful, fuel efficient, durable, and reliable.

I worked for a John Deere Dealership in the late 1990's and early 2000 and set up new Lawn Mowers. I also took these new Mowers out to demo to prospective Customers. One of my favorite new Tractors that came out in 2000 was the John Deere 355D. The 355D is a Garden Tractor that was typically set up with a 54" Deck. The 355D had a Yanmar Twin-V Diesel Engine and all the bells and whistles. I loved Demoing this Tractor because it had so much Torque and Power and it mowed like a dream. Long story short, I enlisted in the Air Force in 2000 and left the Dealership to serve our Country. After I got out in 2004, I became a Deputy Sheriff in Indiana and moved to a nice sized Farm House in the Country. The House has 7 Acres and about 5 is mowable, the other being woods. I began looking for a used Garden Tractor and in the back of my mind wished that John Deere still made the 355D. Low and Behold, I found a used one for Sale at the Dealership I used to work for. And it turned out it was the same one I had set up in 2000! Needless to say, I bought the Tractor and have been using it ever since. I am just as impressed now if not more so than I was when it was a brand new Tractor. The 355D has so much power and is so easy to use it make mowing a pleasure! I would recommend the John Deere 355D to anyone. It is fuel efficient and will mow just about anything. And you can get snow removal equipment, as well as garden tilling equipment for it. To anyone considering buying a John Deere 355D that is reading this, I HIGHLY recommend it.
