I have natural curls, but my hair is also a bit limp and can suffer from frizz, especially when it rains. Anyone with natural curl knows all the aches and pains of dealing with hair like this.
The Frizz
I have been able to tame my frizz better as I have gotten older (in elementary school my hair was a bit scary), but I still had the random frizz battle that I was dealing with. I finally won that battle with this product! Since starting use of this a few years ago, all the frizz is gone and it hasn't come back!
Some people complain that their frizz returns by the end of the day, but I have not had that problem. Perhaps this is because my hair is a bit naturally softer than normal, too (possibly due to being oily).
A nice new addition to this product is they now come in 3 strengths: light, normal, extra-strength. The light is good enough for my slightly oily, thinner hair. If you have coarse, thick hair, they have an extra-strength one that is too heavy for me, but may suit you to help you battle the frizz.
Be careful that you don't use too much! It can appear greasy and way too shiny! When using this product, it gives your hair a bit of sheen anyway (it kinda feels like you are putting syrup on your hair), so don't use any extra product whose main purpose is to give your hair shine. It may push it over the edge.
The Applicator
This is one thing I wish so bad that they would change. There is this cheap little dropper connected to the top that has fallen off and broken on me a few times before. And the last 1/4 of the product is a pain to try to get out. The bottle itself is made of glass, and that worries me when packing it to go on a trip.
Styling
I normally air dry my hair, and with curls, that usually works the best anyway. If you dry your hair and you have curls, don't ever get a hairdryer near your hair without a diffuser! I have found in general that over-styling can damage my hair and make it frizzy. Just letting it stay curly (which is easy to style - just let it be!) is much more healthy for your hair anyway than if you try to straighten it everyday.
Final Words
This product is awesome for my hair! It has enhanced my curls by preventing them from getting frizzy. Plus it seems to moisturize my hair a bit as well. Most likely because you are supposed to apply this when your hair is soaking wet right out of the shower, and putting it on your hair then helps lock in moisture (as well as help evenly distribute the product). It seems to not be the best product for everyone, but if you are suffering with natural curls and have not yet found those products just right for your hair, give these a try!
