The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this product, simply because it did not work for me or my hair type.

| bnnsfts's Full Review: John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum |
I have always had thick, rough hair. It's been this way since I was born, and being a swimmer probably doesn't help either. Up until I was about 11 or so, my hair had been dead straight and had absolutely no frizz whatsoever. But then, the inevitable happened: puberty. My hair had transformed into what it is now - still thick and rough, but also incredibly frizzy. The only thing that can somewhat tame it would be to blow dry and straighten it every morning, but I am one of those people who are too lazy to wake up early and do it, and I'm also afraid of completely killing off my hair. So, I had been watching television one day when one of the Frizz-Ease Hair Serum commercials came on. I was mesmerized. Now, I know that most products don't work on everybody, but I really had high hopes for this one. After doing a bit of research and reading reviews from other users, the Serum was getting many thumbs up, so I decide to take the plunge and try it. I went out to Wal-Mart and instead of buying the bottle - which is unbelievably pricey, by the way - I bought the two packaged samples of the Extra-Strength kind for about two dollars.
First trial - I had read the reviews from other users and many of them had claimed that it worked wonders for their frizzy hair, but that you should only use a little or it would come off looking greasy. Keeping this in mind I put a little tiny dot the size of my nickle and run it through my soaking wet hair; exactly like the directions say to do. Then I styled it as usual, blow drying it. It didn't do nearly as well as others had been claiming. Instead of straightening out my frizz like it was supposed to, it actually made it more frizzy. Needless to say, that day, my hair was in a ponytail. Thinking I just put too little in, I resolved to give it another try.
Trial 2 - Again, I did as the directions told me to, but instead put in a half dollar serving of the Serum and ran it through my soaking wet hair. After blow drying, my hair was frizzier than ever. Some strands were actually ringlets. By now, I had only used up one of the two sample packets, so I decide to give it one last try.
Trial 3 - This time, I used the whole packet and ran it through my hair, making sure I put it in evenly. I left my hair to air dry this time, and for a bit, it looked like it was working. Wrong. My hair looked like a mess; frizz galore.
All in all, this product did not work for me, and I don't recommend it to anyone. It's a waste of money.
