I finally forced myself to finish off my last moisturizer, promising my face I'd buy a tried-and-true moisturizer I knew would do me good instead of abusing it with my usual trial-and-error routine. At long last I pumped the last bit and my face and I threw a party as I drove to the drugstore to buy a new moisturizer.

I have a few favorites I use on and off, but when I was confronted with a wall of facial products the orange glow of a certain bottle caught my eye and for once I spent less than 5 minutes deciding. Johnson & Johnson's Clean & Clear Morning Glow Moisturizer wound up in my cart with much relief for me and my skin.
About the Product:
Clean & Clear makes many claims with this product. It claims to be a light-weight, oil-free formula that naturally brightens your skin with tiny "light reflectors." The moisturizer contains SPF 15, which will protect skin from the sun (though I wouldn't suggest using it as your sole sun protector). The citrus scent is supposed to help wake you and your skin up in the morning, leaving you feeling fresh and ready for the day.

I tend to use different facial cleansers and soaps so my face's condition prior to using this moisturizer is always different. My most recent purchase of Morning Glow has found me washing my face with a general cleanser that combined with the winter weather leaves my skin feeling fairly tight and dry, even immediately after washing my face. In any case, no matter what kind of cleanser I'm using, I always pump one squirt of the product onto my index and middle fingers and use them to gently rub the moisturizer into my skin. The moisturizer has a citrussy, fresh smell that always brightens my day, even if just a little. As soon as it hits my face I can immediately feel it's slight cooling effect, which feels awesome on my skin, especially in the morning. My under-eye area starts feeling less swolen, and my cheeks don't feel so tight. It usually takes a moment or two of face massaging to get the product worked totally into my skin, which is actually kind of neat: the process of massaging my face and the wake-up-and-get-moving fresh scent and cooling effects of the moisturizer combine to make it an enjoyable experience. My face instantly looks brighter, and when I look at my hands I can see why: the moisturizer has tiny golden flecks (Clean & Clear calls them light reflectors) and leaves a beautiful golden, glowing tint to my skin. How refreshing! After applying the moisturizer I'm good to go within a minute; no waiting around for my face to dry or anything.
80% of the time I follow my moisturizer with make-up; I use BareEscentuals Bare Minerals make up, and the incredibly light, dry nature of the make-up has caused problems for me in the past. I've found that with many moisturizers if I don't let them dry for several minutes first the light powder just doesn't work. Morning Glow works with my make-up but still shines through enough to make my skin have a beautiful glow. When I don't put on make-up, I still feel that my face looks (and, of course, feels) much brighter and more attractive. As the day wears on, my face doesn't feel as damaged as it does with other moisturizers, whose effects generally wear off within hours. My face stays hydrated and never gets the taut feeling that others leave me with after a few hours. Throughout the day I can check myself out in the mirror, but the glow is always still there.
As I mentioned before, I've found myself coming back to this product time and time again. Johnson & Johnson have come up with yet another favorite product with Clean & Clear's Morning Glow Moisturizer. I use this product in the morning to brighten my spirits and my skin. The light relfectors leave me looking fresh, the scent and light feel of the product leave me feeling fresh, and the cost doesn't break my bank. This is one of my favorite moisturizers, and after trying it once, I'm sure it will be one of yours as well.
