This past winter my son, then 18 months old, kept getting dry patches of skin on his body. Nothing worth taking him to a doctor for, I just noticed his baths especially really drying his skin out. I've always used lotion on him - mostly Gerber's lotion, though some times the regular Johnson's lotion also. It was clear to me that neither were doing the trick.
I entered our local Walmart one day, in search of Aveeno baby lotion, after hearing this product line was devoted to sensitive and dry skin. Not able to find it, I happened upon a huge display of newer Johnson's product - one of them that jumped out at me was Johnson's® Soothing Skin Baby Lotion .
The 15 fl oz (444 ml)cost under $4.00 and the product looked thick and white in the plastic bottle. An easy opening flip top helped to convince me that this might be a good purchase. Additionally, it stated that it was for dry skin and mentioned its soothing comforts. Having tried other Johnson's products and enjoying them, I felt this was a product I could trust.
I couldn't be more right - we always have a bottle of this stuff in the house now.
What's So Great About Johnson's® Soothing Skin Baby Lotion?
What's not to love? I adore everything about this lotion, except for the faint perfume smell I notice at times. The smell is not at all irritating, just noticeable, and I'd rather it not be there. This lotion applies feels thick and creamy, and yet it readily absorbs into my son's skin. He is now over 2 years old and we are still using it. Within days the Johnson's® Soothing Skin Baby Lotion cleared up the dry patches and you could see his skin looking better. There was a time (before using this lotion) that my son would actually cry when he saw a lotion bottle coming - now he lets us put it on without a care.
It continues to work well in the warmer months. It always seems to give just the right amount of hydration and softness to my son's skin. I am beyond happy to have found a lotion that can work so well and so often in our home.
I actually have started using Johnson's® Soothing Skin Baby Lotion myself at times. When my skin feels irritated, this lotion really soothes whatever the problem is. I have used it on bug bites that were healing to help stop the itch. I have also used it when I have scrapped my leg shaving and later on had sensitive and itching skin in areas. It makes a wonderful spot treatment for just were it itches the most. I have also used this on my hands after washing dishes to help bring some of the moisture and softness back. My husband has even let me put some of this lotion on him when his skin itches. For the price, it has been a really great and useful find.
Johnson's® Soothing Skin Baby Lotion has been fairly easy for me to find - I usually pick it up at my local Walmart. I have seen it at other drugstores, and I know it is able to be ordered from sites like drugstore.com.
Overall
I would highly recommend this product - Johnson's® Soothing Skin Baby Lotion - to anyone who would listen. I feel it not only works wonders on my son's skin, but on the whole family's as well. For the price and the high quality of this product, I would suggest to anyone with similar skin needs to give it a try.
