Pros: Smooth, stable and fast with K2's unbeatable reputation. The best scooter around.
Cons: Heavy riders may have trouble. A bit more expensive than Razors.
The Bottom Line: Now that the price has dropped a bit, it's definately worth a test-ride and some strong consideration. It's the smoothest and fastest ride of any scooter available today.

| stewedsquirrel's Full Review: K2 Trifecta 3-Wheel Folding Kick Scooter |
This three wheeled scooter is the most stable thing out there. The two-wheel designs (Razor) can tend to be wobbly and sometimes get out of hand quickly at high speeds. Plus, with the three wheeled, skateboard-like truck in the front of this scooter, turning naturally lets you lean into turns without fear of losing control. Additionally, the springboard-like platform and large shock in the front steering help cushion the ride.
It folds up quite easily, though it's more bulky than a Razor, the smooth, fast ride is well worth it. The wooden kickboard and simple handelbar contribute to the reduction in weight and the "screw lock" pivot on the handlebar is both quick to disassemble and sturdy when locked into place.
Heavier riders may have trouble bottoming-out the suspension and kick-board, especially when riding over rough terrain, which is the reason for the somewhat restrictive recommended weight limit (200lbs). In addition, the cornering is weight-sensitive so those with more bulk might find its steering a bit touchy. However, since the front truck/suspension is adjustable, even those with less than stellar balance on a skateboard can still ride this without worry of falling, even at slow speed.
The riders I've seen most frequently using this are college students looking for alternate modes of transportation. This board lets you cruise faster and farther than any other scooter because it rides a bit more like a skateboard with suspension than one of those aluminum scooters. Despite this, because of the reasonably light weight limit it may seem more suitable for teens.
Its appeal is not limited to to the older kids and adults, however. Several fairly young riders have already proven to me that this scooter is great for all ages. Even children barely older than toddlers have hopped on this scooter and with a quick turn of the bolt up front to tighten the steering and stabilize the deck, they seem to have little trouble with toppling over. In fact, this scooter may be easier to ride than the two-wheel Razor scooters, even if it is slightly more difficult to corner sharply for very lightweight riders. (Parents should always closely supervise very young kids on anything that has wheels)
The design has been around for more than a couple of years, but minor problems with the earlier model's suspension seem to be worked out and the price has been reduced significantly. All in all, it's worth taking a second look or a test-ride, especially now that it has come into a more competitive price range.
