I was in the market for a new radar detector when the one I owned started to misrepresent readings. I purchased a Fuzzbuster from Best Buy about 4 years ago. It cost me roughly $120.00. The reason I decided to purchase that radar detector was because it claimed it protected you 360 degrees around your vehicle. I found that was very interesting and I was big on performance, and not the way it looked. So I decided to purchase that product. After about 4 years of using that particular radar detector I noticed that it would go off continuously. I found this to be annoying sometimes because I could not determine if it was an officer or if it was another source that I was receiving.
As some of you that have owned a radar detector, you know what I’m talking about here. You had to train yourself with the radar detector to be able to determine when and where your particular radar would go off. Once you were familiarized with the radar detector it was easy to determine what it was. Well after dealing with this for a few years, I was out shopping again for another radar. Why you may ask! Because this time I did not want to judge the radar detector by where I was driving and then trying to figure out what the source might be. I got fed up with it and the end results were I got a few speeding tickets that I had to pay. Well I guess the 360 degree coverage that I was supposed to have did not work very well!
In the process of shopping around I kept running into Escort and Valentine all over the Internet and magazine ads. I started to do research on these particular products to find the best possible radar detector. Then one of my buddies mentioned to me about a radar detector that was made by a company that paid for speeding tickets 100%. Well this obviously got my attention right away. I found this to be a little odd. Come on now, who in their right mind would claim to pay for your speeding ticket. There had to be some catch to this. There would be no way a company could do this unless they really stood behind their product. I asked him if he had bought one and he did. He was extremely happy with his purchase and mentioned to me that he feels a lot safer with his K40 RD650VG2 than any other radar detector he ever owned. So as the saying goes hear no evil, see no evil. I decided to take his word on it. I went out and purchased the K40 RD650VG2 . After about a few weeks I thought I got really ripped off. The darn radar would not go off. I would see once in awhile the LED lights go on. I thought this was odd. Lights are showing but no sound. I asked my buddy about this and he said he got the same readings when he first used his. Naturally I was a little upset that he told about this radar detector,but made his point very clear to me. His point was that I was so use to my old one going off all the time that my mind was fine tuned to that type of radar detector. I gave it another week and long and behold the K40 RD650VG2 worked. I was going a little faster than the roadrunner that day when the radar went off like crazy and all the lights were flashing. I could not determine where the source was coming from until I got to see with my own eyes, an officer positioned on the side of the road, about 1 mile or so in front of me using a radar. Naturally I slowed down to the speed of a turtle. This radar detector amazed me in a way that I could not believe how well it functioned. It actually reads the police radar and reduces all the false readings. Since that day I have been extremely happy with the purchase I was persuaded into making. The K40 RD650VG2 really reduces all the noise that I was use too. It actually works like a radar detectors is supposed to work. Performance was my biggest reason to recommend this product to everyone of my family members and other friends. In addition the 100% guarantee of paid speeding tickets.
