| epjh's Full Review: Kms Hair Play Mold Paste 3.4 oz |
I have tried a small selection of pomades, waxes and gels to mold my straight asian hair, but its very stubborn. Sometimes my hair doesn't stay for half the day, and sometimes the stuff takes a while to wash out. My stylist introduced me to this KMS paste, which I mix half-and-half with KMS tacky gel to shape my hair. It works really well, lasts a while, and I have no real issues with washing it out.
My partner uses the same mixture to flatten her fine wavy hair. She has a similar problem in that other products don't hold the waves down.
The cocoa butter smell might take getting used to, but I don't mind it. It is a little on the strong side though.
It costs a fair bit, however. I managed to find a whole bunch on sale at a hairdresser that wanted to get rid of them. ($6US each for tacky gel and paste) I put all the new tubes in the back of my fridge, and after two years, the unused ones are still stable.
I use a little dollop the size of a quarter or less, and it goes a long way.
