Twix109's Full Review: Kashi Mountain Medley Granola 14 Oz
I sent away for a free sample of Kashi Mountain Medley Granola on www.kashi.com. After I enjoyed my free sample, I went to ShopRite and purchased a 14 ounce box for $4.89.
About
Kashi is an all natural company boasting about 7 whole grains on a mission. Each serving of Mountain Medley is packed with 300mg of Omega 3s, over two-thirds of your daily needs of whole grains, and 25% of your daily fiber needs. So instead of eating Fruit Loops and getting just a few of the necessary ingredients, Mountain Medley is a very healthy choice.
The granola reminds me of a trail mix. My mom and I go on a 3 mile hike about 5 days a week and this is something that would fit right in to the atmosphere! This granola has a variety of different things cranberries, raisins, crunchy almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, coconut flakes. All of them are clustered together by sweet honey and maple. The granola is sweet, light, and delicious. The fruit is still soft and chewy not hard and stale. Sometimes granola is too hard and all the chewing gives me a headache but this is not the case with Mountain Medley.

What I Dont Like
Ive been watching my calories. What I dont like is that with most cereals you could have ¾ a cup or even 1 cup and have a lesser amount of calories then 220 for a ½ cup. The catch 22 is that other cereals are not natural and healthy. I also dont like how this cereal is $5, where other cereals are less expensive. The same catch 22 applies.
What I Love
I love the feeling of eating something good. I eat my Mountain Medley about 2-3 days a week with soy milk. The ½ cup really fills me up and I dont get hungry for awhile. The granola is good to take on a hike or picnic. Its a good blend of granola and different fruits. It has a good taste and texture. The granola isnt too hard to chew. Many people could find this cereal (or snack) delicious!
