amyk49's Full Review: Kashi Tlc Cereal Bar. Strawberry, 6-Count Bars (Pa...
Sometimes I have to run out the door without a proper breakfast, or other times I'm just looking for a satisfying snack. I prefer a healthy snack, so I decided to try these cereal bars from Kashi.
~ Product Description
Kashi has this to say about their TLC Strawberry Cereal Bars, taken from the box: "Our Ripe Strawberry soft-baked cereal bars contain 7 whole grains, 3g of fiber, 2g of protein and real fruit, so they're as nourishing as they are tasty. And, unlike many snack choices, TLC cereal bars are free of highly refined sweeteners, artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils and cholesterol."
Kashi cereal bars include wildflower honey and sesame in addition to their unqiue blend of seven whole grains.
These come in a box of six 1.2 oz. individually foil-wrapped bars. You can expect to pay around $5.15 or so for the box. These really aren't hard to find - I found them at my small local grocers.

~ My Experience Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Strawberry Cereal Bars are medium sized, as far as cereal bars go. The strawberry filling looks like it has been spread over the cereal bar, and then the edges of the cereal bar folded over almost to the center, but leaving a gap so you can see the strawberry filling down the center of the bar.
The foil wrapping is easy to tear open. The bars are quite soft, and can get squished or smashed if you keep them in your purse or bag, if you aren't careful.
The cereal part has a "healthy" taste and texture, but in a mostly good way. I say "mostly" because sometimes the bar almost comes off a little dry and sawdusty. Not always, but just once in a while when I'm eating one I get that sensation.
The strawberry filling is quite good, with a natural strawberry flavor which isn't overly sweet. These are quite soft, yet not what I would consider chewy at all. There is no crunchiness. They are like soft, not too sweet cookies with a strawberry filling.
As far as being satisfying, Kashi TLC Cereal Bars don't fill me up at all, and certainly won't do as a meal. As a quick snack they are fine, but even then not terribly filling or satisfying. It would take about three of these to really satisfy me.
~ Final Thoughts Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Strawberry Cereal Bars are fairly tasty, and certainly a healthy snack choice. Sometimes the texture is a little dry and comes off like sawdust though, but mostly I do like them. Unfortunately they aren't very satisfying, and I'm usually left wanting more. Try them for a healthy snack alternative, but don't count on them to tide you over very long before a meal.
