| vemartin's Full Review: Kay Jewelers Credit Card |
At the end of every year I buy my wife two pieces of jewelry; one piece for Christmas and another for our Anniversary, which just happens to fall on January 1st. Sometimes, using the Internet, I go far a-field and buy her something hard to find like snap-on earrings (her preference), or multi-colored pearls. But I always end up buying at least one of the gifts from Kay Jewelers with my Kay Jewelers Credit Card.
I have carried a Kays Card since the year 2000 when were first married; after all Kay Jewelers is where I bought he engagement ring, and our wedding rings. I have come to expect good customer service from them which is why I go back year after year. That and their jewelry selection is above average and the prices are usually within my range. And I can usually find what I want on-line, and then go into the local mall to see it and purchase it in person. If the store doesnt have the piece I want in stock, they order it. Other perks include a Lifetime Diamond Guarantee 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee Free jewelry cleaning and inspection.
My opening credit limit on the Kays Card was quite generous and with it I was able to get the ring I wanted. Using the Kays Card weather on-line or in the store is just like using any other credit card: find your purchase and then do your part for the economy by charging it. There is no annual fee associated with the card, but the APR is stiff, topping off at 22.9%, a rate I refuse to pay because I make sure I pay the card off before any finance charges accrue.
You can of course take advantage of any and all sales promotions at Kay Jewelers using the Kays Card as payment. In order to avoid the steep interest rate I wait until a 60, 90, 120 day good as cash sale and make my purchase then. Shop smarter and avoid finance charges at all cost is my motto, first, last, and always!
Every man with a significant other should have at least one jewelry store card in his wallet along with the number to a good florist. My card of choice is the Kay Jewelers Credit Card. Why? Because Kay Jewelers offers frequent sales, hardy inventory, Internet presence and local store. I know the APR is steep but I have never been accessed finance charges. Pick on up, youll be glad you did.
