Pros: Cheap $$. Standard 3 heat settings. Moist and dry heat option.
Cons: Smaller than average heating pad. Heat turns off sooner than other pads we've used.
The Bottom Line: Price is always a plus in my opinion. Not everyone can afford the best. This is an affordable heating pad even for those on low or fixed incomes.
lovehifi's Full Review: Kaz Moisture or Dry Heat Pad
The wife uses a heating pad. Every few years she buys a new one. Heating pads lose their heating potential over time, especially if used regularly. Sometimes the heating switch goes bad as well.
She did not want to spend much. This Softheat pad was at Walmart for under $12. That's as cheap as I've ever seen.
However, all is not good. This pad is quite a bit smaller than the average heating pad. Here is the good and bad about this pad.
Good: Cheap. Most heating pads cost several times as much.
3 heat settings. Typical.
Auto Off feature. Turns off after a certain time or if it overheats.
Moist or dry use. Has the typical fabric cover and an inner thin pad which can be made moist. Some say moist heat works better. Neither of us ever use it that way.
9 foot power cord. More or less typical. Good enough to reach the chair, sofa or bed from your wall outlet.
Bad: Smaller pad. This pad is only 12 x 14 inches. That's approximately half the size of the average pad. So you won't get heat over such a wide area of your body.
The pad seems to shut off sooner. Then it has to be turned on again for continued use.
Overall, I'm not really sure what to say about this product. My better half wants to keep it due to the price. However, on the other hand, she's not sure if she likes it because it is pretty small and turns off sooner.
It is a general purpose wet or dry heating pad. The price makes it accessible to anyone.
