Pros: Spins at a high speed and are great looking machines!
Update: Still looks great :-)
Cons: Did not hold up over heavy usage.
We bought this washer and dryer set two months ago. I had read customer reviews on-line (not e-pinions) and 8 out of ten were positive. I took the chance because the dryer was on sale, both were in stock and I could take them home that day from the Sears store in my home town. I love the automatic water level control. I don't know how it works but it seems to choose the right level without wasting water. The washer and dryer seem to compliment each other really well. The washer wrings out the clothes and the dryer dries them in good time. My husband and I wear jeans to work and I wash a super size load on a regular basis. They always come out clean and wrung out well. I feel the washer spins excellent at 1000rpm. Never has it gone off balance. Never has torn up clothes. If you are a person who has to look at what's going on inside, spring for the see through lid because it has a locking lid that I haven't figured out how to open and look inside while it's operating. And with the new modern design, they look right nice in my wash room!
Update after 5 years: Well, we had a change in our family. My elderly mother had a stroke and moved in with us. The machine then got very heavy usage and after 3 years of sheets, towels, blankets, etc the machine is not holding up very well. I would have expected that for the price it would have been better than it us. Here's what we've found. It started going off balance easily. Adjusted legs, got better. Would off and on not want to drain. Sent it through a diagnostic cycle and it breezed through that so we're not sure if it's an electrical problem and get this............ Sears doesn't have a repair man available for THREE weeks!!!!
