Pros: Less water needed, many customizing options for washing, cleaner laundry.

Cons: Pedestals do not come with the machine, and should.

This is a very nice washer, with many features to help you customize the type of laundry that you are doing. Since it is a front loader, it uses much less water, and spins clothes more thoroughly so that it usually takes less time to dry a load of clothes. You do need to read the book to re-learn how to prepare clothes for washing - empty pockets, zip zippers, place small items in a mesh bag, keep the door open between loads, etc. The machine does an excellent job of cleaning clothes with less water and less detergent. The washer has a nice capacity, and I find myself doing fewer loads.
