Prior to my purchase of this appliance I thought your basic run of the mill washer/dryer was good enough. That these new front load fancy machines weren't worth the money. But in the last 2 years of having to replace a refrigerator (twice) and now a washer and dryer after only 3 years of use, I decided to look into upgrading what my normal choice would be.
I purchase my Kenmore Elite front load washer used, so I did alot of research prior to purchasing. Buying used I took a chance but from day one I have been so pleased - this machine is great! It so easy to use and give you wash options that other basic machines don't like (kid clothes and bulky bedding). It also give you flexibility to delay the wash so that you can begin the wash on off peak hoursin order to save on your energy bill . It uses less water, is very quiet and my families clothes come out looking and smelling cleaner than with my prior machine.
What's interesting is that I am so impressed with this machine that it has changed how often I do laundry. I have a big family with alot of laundry and I use to dred it and procrastinate with my other machine. But with the Kenmore, I find myself throwing a load in every other day. I guess you don't know what you're missing if you don't know. Which is why I decided to write my first product review ever on this machine. It's made my life easier and I feel good that I made a good decision for my family.
