Keurig Ultra B50 1-Cup Coffee Maker
A coffee maker that only brews one cup at a time is not as bad of an idea as it sounds. You envision tons of procedures, mess and eventually slitting your wrists as the caffeine-craving headache rips through your brain while waiting for your one single dinky cup of coffee. If youre anything like me you also think about the stress of paying $110 for a stinkin coffee machine like this one. You think about the $12 Mr. Coffee machines on the market that makes a gallon of coffee at a time. If you drink 10-cups in a day like me you think this will be a huge hassle, waiting for each cup to brew. You could not be more wrong.
My daughter bought me the Keurig Ultra B50 1-Cup Coffee Maker for Christmas and at first when I opened her gift to me and found that it does cost over a hundred bucks - I thought about the resale value of putting it on e-Bay, I thought about getting about half of what its worth and placing a bet on the NFL. I figured I would stick with my Buick sized Mr. Coffee with the miss shaped pot that spills an ounce for each cup poured, the same coffee maker that consistently makes coffee that is just warm enough so you can enjoy your first two sips then five minutes passes and you forced to microwave the rest of your room temperature java. Not to mention with the cheap-o coffee makers the coffee always tastes like the coffee was brewed in a filter made out of dirty underwear.
With this new glorious Keurig Ultra B50 1-Cup Coffee Maker there are absolutely no worries even with the price of the coffee that comes in individual little cups. Yep there is a huge downside in the monetary department to buying the individual cups that cost about $9 for 18 cups of coffee. And the packages of 18 are not found in many stores and are better of being purchased at www.keurig.com where you will find seven brand names of gourmet coffee and teas.
Green Mountain
Diedrich
Gloria Jeans
Timothys
Van Houtte
Tullys
Newmans Own
When you buy the machine you get 18-free cups with your purchase all of the above names included the best coffee I tried was from Green Mountain and the name of the particular Green Mountain flavor that I enjoyed the most was called Dark Magic . I know that name sounds like a porno with big black men but in reality its a rich tasting dark roast that tastes like Dunkin Donuts on its best day. Thats a big compliment from a guy that actually had coffee at Dunkin Donuts at least once a day for three years straight. So when you consider that I spent about $2 a cup going out of my way to my local Dunkin Donuts - 50-cents a cup in the convenience of my own home is not too shabby. Although, I still purchased the single reusable cup that allows me to brew my own store bought coffee at far less of a price the little single cup was an investment in itself for $16 on e-bay. With the reusable cup I can buy gourmet coffee from any store in the world, stuff the right amount in the reusable cup and get the same rich gourmet cup each brew.
So Easy A Caveman Can Do It !!
To operate is very easy, all you need to do is lift the handle and place one of the single serving cups in the slot. If you forget to fill the side contraption with water or for what ever reason there is not enough water the add water light will illuminate. When you have added sufficient water amounts and added your single serving cup of coffee you are ready for brewing. You press the Brew button that looks like a coffee cup and the water begins to heat, only on the first cup is there a wait time of about 2-minutes and after that your coffee pours into your coffee mug instantaneously after pressing the button. There is also a power button that allows you to turn on the machine and also an auto off button that remembers to turn of your device when its been idle for too long. If you are concerned about forgetting to turn off the coffee pot and are paranoid about causing a fire in your home, this is a great coffee maker for safety reasons; in fact companies in high rise building have converted to these coffee machines for breaks on their insurance. In the past so many idiots have allowed a few ounces of coffee to burn throughout the night and then eventually causing a fire in their office building.
The Bottom Line on The Keurig Ultra B50 1-Cup Coffee Maker:
Money aside, this thing is as perfect as you can get. It looks much nicer than any of the traditional coffee makers, it will impress your friends and start off as a conversation piece which is perfect if you are making coffee for your date or even if you have a prostitute in your house. Each cup is brewed to perfection as the water is brewed through the little indivdual cups that are about an inch and half high and an inch wide, so each cup will be hot and brewed to perfection. The clean up is so simple as all you do is take the used cup and toss it in the gargage. The water is stored the same way as traditional coffee makers, so you will only need to fill the water once as it holds about 6-7 cups. The Keurig Ultra B50 1-Cup Coffee Maker is also good for making tea, hot chocolate or anything else that requires steaming hot water.
Im giving this close to a perfect rating as it has improved my quality of life. For the first time in my many years I enjoy coffee at home, I no longer feel half satisfied with my coffee buzz and have not bought coffee anywhere else since, so in the long run the cost is not much different, even tough they do get you coming and going.
