Pros:Fast, convenient , EZ to brew and use
Cons:expensive if you don't use 'optional' filter set.
Keurig Descaling method 4hours
The Bottom Line: recommend if you DIY with optional filter
Unit was given to us as Xmas gift, after buying K cups at Costco & finally figuring coffee was weak and still costing us nearly 58 cents a cup. Decided to get optional brew basket & filter at 21.00 purchase on Amazon.com. ( actually we bought 2 filters) in case we brew tea through the unit as well.

While we are here I might as well mention that Amazon.com sells 'Dezcal' which is a SUPERIOR way of descaling your coffee machine rather then doing it the Keurig proscibed method with vinegar. Keurig wants you to keep your machine standing 4 hours with vinegar [min ]. If you use 'Dezcal' you can cut the time of Descaling to a reasonable 30 minutes Not 4 hours!!!!
Moving right along.. now I use Costco Kirkland Decafe or Folgers Decafe in my machine using the Keurig filter and using 1 and 1/3 teaspoons per cup to make my morning coffee. It comes out Full bodied and wonderful Not weak and it only costs around ~35 cents per serving. It can be messy to clean the filter afterwards though. I just open the trash can lid I knock it around a few times , then rinse out residue in the sink.. I can live with this small mess if I can get cups of coffee at this price through the keurig...
