| danapee's Full Review: Kids Ii Soft & Safe Inflatable Baby Bath Tub |
Since my son was born he has been bathed in a hard plastic tub. I could never understand why he cried through the entire experience. He would sit like a stone and look at me as if I were torturing him. I always fretted over whether his little body was taking a beating. Until I bought the Kids II Inflatable Tub, I had no idea that bath time could be so worry free. I blew it up quickly, with little effort, and when I place him in it he immediately began to kick and play with his toys. He now laughs and looks at me with such gratitude. He throws himself against the sides and just bounces right back up. He started using the tub at approximately 6 1/2 months. He is 8 months now. He has not been using it long, but believe me it is a dramatic difference. He has more autonomy and I can really get his little body clean. When I want to wash his hair I just lay him back on the backside of the tub and VOILA! He just smiles with confidence and waits for me to finish. The stopper is very simple to lift and plug and it drains very easily. When I am finished I just wipe it down and hang it over my shower. I suggest hanging it close to the ceiling if,like me, you have little room. Of course, I would never walk out of the room while he is in the tub, nor would I even move far away from him. He does have a tendency to slide around in it, because he is playing so furiously. Therefore, I keep one hand near him at all times. The only down side is the tub's sides are nice and fat, so when you fill it you have to use a hand to guide the water into the basin. However, it fills very quickly and that is a minor consolation for such an otherwise expert product. My only worry now is that I will have to find another great product to rival it when he grows out of it. Which will probably take about another 5 or 6 months. By the way I found it on estyle.com, which is an excellent source for lots of infant items. I did have to pay shipping but I found a few other items to off set the cost and no driving to a superstore with nasty service and long lines.
