| ggrimes1221's Full Review: Kids Ii Soft & Safe Inflatable Baby Bath Tub |
I'm jealous!!! Products such as this were not available when my children were babies. Luckily I have a younger sister whose children are 4 and 16 months, so I get to play with all the cute baby accessories any way. This tub is the cutest thing I have seen for bath safety for the older baby and toddlers.
Being inflatable, it does take some time to blow up, but my sisters husband used an air compressor and it was a breeze. She would just leave it inflated after bathtime and stand it up in the back of the tub to drain dry. My little niece loves to play in her little pool as her 4 year old brother calls it! He wants to know why he can't go swimming in sissy's pool in the bathtub.
The safety features are great. It's small enough for the baby to fit in snuggly and yet large enough for her to splash around. If she lays back the padded back side acts as a pillow. Of course we all know we never leave a child unattended in any amount of water, but it's so much fun to sit and watch her play with bubbles and various bath toys.
One weekend my sister and her husband deserved a much needed break so my husband and I agreed to stay at their house so not to disrupt the childrens routine. My sisters instructions were to put Vicki in her tub with about 3 inches of water, a little bubbles and just let her play! Ok I can do that!!! She was adorable! Both my husband and I sat in the bathroom floor laughing and playing with her as she put bubbles on my nose, my hair, and splashed me to wash them off. I looked like I was the one who had the bath! All was well until I thought it was time to get her out! She started screaming no no no bubbs... ok auntie G agreed to just a few more minutes... again no no no bubbs!!! Finally I just decided I had to get her out before she got prune skin, and she didn't like me for that at all!
The next day as my sister returned I explained how well I liked this tub but that Vicki didn't want to get out. My sis said "oh, I forgot to tell you about that"!
She says by summer Vicki will have outgrown her bathtub "pool" so she plans to use it outside on the deck for a little wading, cool off, splash pool for her. What a neat idea.
