I bought this tub when my son was in the "sits up with assistance stage".
He was way too large for an infant tub and I felt like filling up the entire tub for one tiny guy was not only a waste of water, but scary for him (babies like to be cozy even in the tub). The bath seat was O.K., but again, what a waste of water.
After 5 minutes of initial fear......my son started to play and laugh and splash. He used this tub from about 6 months to walking and it was great. Quick to fill. We just left it in the tub and removed it if adults were showering. Also great for traveling.
It did get a little moldy in the crevices, but I put it in the wash on hot with a little bleach and ta da.....clean tubby! (I only had to do this once!)
Bought another one for my daughter that was a duck and the beak quacked. She loved it, but most of the time I throw her in with her big brother!
