Pros: Hey! Kincaid's is kinda like the ChartHouse - but with macadamia crusted halibut.
Cons: Pricey chain food.
The Bottom Line: Who would have thunk Kincaid's was good?

Kincaid's is pretty good.
It's the kind of seafood restaurant found in marinas with big overpriced drinks, an interesting menu, and a view of yachts that you will never be able to afford. Kincaid's could be the kind of place you take your boyfriend's parents to for lunch - it's safe but leaps and bounds beyond Red Lobster. I give this place a lukewarm recommend because the food's really not that bad, but if you squint, you can tell it's a chain.
Appetizers
Like all seafood chains in North America, Kincaid's offers their variation of coconut shrimp ($10.95). Four butterflied tiger prawns dipped in a sweet batter, deep fried, and arranged around a soft pile of sweet jasmine rice - nothing too exciting, nor terribly bland. My favorite appetizer is the Firecracker Shrimp Cocktail ($10) - a classic - although at Kincaid's, it's turned up a notch - the cocktail sauce is spiked with wasabi giving a painfully pleasant zing.
Entrees
While the name suggests "Fish, Chops, and Steak.." your best bet would be with the former. Their menu boasts rock-salted prime rib ($20-28), which means they were slow-roasted with a big slab of salt nearby, and is nothing spectacular. Filet Mignon ($30) is also decent, but really, the hit here is the seafood. I ordered from their specials menu - a macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi served with brussel sprouts ($23). The idea for a macadamia crust around fish sounds delightful but is a lot greasier than you could ever imagine. I ended up eating most of the king salmon filet with toasted hazelnut butter ($30+) that showed up next to my plate, another Firecracker shrimp cocktail, and another Bloody Mary.
The Crab Cakes ($21) are noteworthy - light and flavorful, a little on the dry side but that's why there's good sauce. You can fix a lot with good sauce. Present with the cakes were a lemony white sauce and a Thai-style sweet and sour sauce. Kincaid's also offers a healthy variety of "other stuff" - surf and turf combinations, a handful of pasta dishes, roasted chicken, salads, and a vegetable ragout.
Desserts
They look "scrumptiouser" than they taste and are pretty typical - a brownie dessert, assorted pies, and a bread pudding. The table favorite was the "Burnt Cream", a cute name for a creme brulee.
Etc.
There's a full bar, valet parking, decent service, and a pleasant view.
I don't know if I'd ever say, "Hey friend, let's go to Kincaid's tonight!!!' because it's really not my kind of place, but I really wouldn't mind going.
