So ... maybe instead of visiting Kinkaids ... (Reply to this comment)

... I should just stick with Captain D's and pocket the extra $40?!?!?!? *LOL*
Yeah ... and if I do that a couple of times I can then afford to go to a 'real' (i.e. non-chain) seafood place!
No, actually I'm sure it's soooo much nicer than good ole Capt. D's ... but sometimes a chain is a chain is a chain ... right?
Have a SUPER day!

This is really about all a person should write about a chain restaurant, isn't it?

"For being part of a chain, they do an admirable job"
Well said. You have a weird way of articulating my thoughts.

Thanks, D. Chains aren't all that evil - like your delicious Pancake House review...

Those Chains Again..... (Reply to this comment)

They have one of these in the MacArthur Center in Norfolk, where my Dad lives. It is a pleasant spot, though (oddly) they have less emphasis upon the seafood there than on the steaks. For being part of a chain, they do an admirable job. Tom Barnes

I know the type of restaurant you have described here. Been to many of them. This sounds like they do a nice job on the food, however. As always, you did a great job on the review.
My best,
Deborah~
P.S. Thanks for the e-mail

I totally agree with you on seafood chains - that's why I was doubly impressed with Kincaid's.
Actually, like you, that's how I feel about chains in general - the TLC has been watered down...
