Pros: Superior lathering, mild scent and low price make this the perfect bath bar.
Cons: Costco is the only place that carries it.
For decades we used Jergens bar bath soap, but many stores simply stopped selling it. I think it's because Jergens was a low-cost soap and store shelves are becoming "high-rent districts."
So we looked for an alternative, and took a chance on Kirkland bath and body bar at the local Costco store. We're glad we did and now it's all we use!
The Kirkland bar has incredible lather! But more important, it's a mild soap with a mild scent. You get 14 bars, 4.5-ounce each, in a box at a low Costco price.
At first glance, you might be dismayed by the bars' resemblance to Dove soap, but don't worry! Kirkland doesn't have that strong, offensive Dove fragrance. Kirkland bar soap has a very gentle scent that won't compete with your perfume.
It's also gentle to the skin, with 25 percent moisturizing cream using pure vegetable oils and no tallow. The box also states that it's detergent-free.
Because of its luxurious sudsiness you feel very clean, but not at all dry feeling.
Another advantage is that each bar is individually shrink-wrapped, so you may keep extra bars handy everywhere - as spares in multiple bathrooms or in your luggage, ready for a trip.
Kirkland bath and Body Bar is a luxurious but economical way to stay clean!
