Pros:Heats evenly, cleans easily, looks and cooks great.
Cons:not non-stick...
The Bottom Line: This set is as good as the name brands, with Costcos exceptional warranty (Calphalons warranty stinks) standing behind it. Nothing better on the market.

If you read my epinion on Calphalon
"Gimme a pot I can Dishwasher" You know my experience with cookwear. Given that Calphalon finally responded with a "tough cookies" to my email, we decided to buy more all-clad. However, there we were at costco, and we saw what appeared to be a great stainless steel cookwear set for an exceptional price. Note that this is under the annodized information, there was no heading for Kirkland stainless.

Three ply, aluminum core, heat resistant handles, looked and felt just like out all-clad, and made in italy. Now I know for a fact that costco did not go to italy and ask some guy named mario if he wanted to be in the cookwear business. No, when they source a product like this, they go to a manufacturer and ask if they wish to produce a similar product to their own under the kirkland label. (not to burst any bubbles, but kirkland jeans, underwear, and tires are also just rebranded pre existing products).

So we took a chance. It has been almost a year now, and the only pot I have any problem with is one in which I boiled water for tea, and forgot about so that it had full heat (we have 25,ooo btu burners on a commercial stove) for about 10 minutes after it had already boiled dry)... and the only problem with that one is a bit of discoloration.

In the set we got a stockpot, two saucepans, two frypans, and a large skillet. They are all exceptional, and I recommend them to chefs of any level.

Now, to respond to those who are concerned about the cooking differences between aluminum and stainless (I was too) None that I can tell, and I am a frequent cook (everyday, usually more complex dishes).

Looking for a great cookwear set for yourself or a gift? I would look no further, my Kirkland set rules.
