Pros: Great sudsing, rinses off easily, moisturizes, does not irritate sensitive skin
Cons: blah smell.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommend, non-drying and non-irritating. Probably will not become your main skin care product though, due to a blah scent.

| patriciak's Full Review: Kiss My Face Olive & Aloe Bar Soap |
I have been on a journey since finding that my skin was no longer responding as it had for over 30 years, to Noxema facial cleansing cream. I've found some horrendous flops that dried my face up like a creek bed in a drought (review on one upcoming), a savior product, and this soap which gave me sweet relief.
~My Skin...or Skip on to "The Soap"
My poor skin....I was blessed to inherit my Grandmother Anna's skin, aging well and always looking far younger than our years. However...changes in hormones have led to pesky occasional acne, and my combination T zone has been really gone into energetic oil production. In the middle of dealing with these issues, remained my sensitive skin. Skin unused to makeup (I've rarely needed or wanted more than lipstick and some eye makeup), and very reactive to perfumes and certain ingredients I've yet to sleuth out.
I've lost over 60 lbs. this past year, and I am approaching the age of 50. What's the point of those admissions? I'm seeing my skin texture change, as the fat layer changed, fine but persistent wrinkles were suddenly exposed as if the water drained out of the creek and there exposed is the uneven surface of the creek bed. I found my usual skin cleanser, Noxema, alternating with Burt's Bees Orange Facial Cleanser, was no longer adequate for my needs (though I can still get good results with the Burt's Bees cleanser, it's not my choice for daily use). This began my search, as my skin has always been a key aspect of how I look, and I want control as much as I can, the condition it is in.
~Kiss My Face Olive & Aloe Bar - The Soap
I received this as a present this past Christmas, and have been using it with good results. My skin is not flaking and drying in reaction to this, and my skin feels clean and soft after use. I greatly enjoy the high sudsing of this soap, which I found rinses off easily, and which causes no stinging or burning of my skin. I highly recommend this soap for those with skin as sensitive as my own. My one disappointment? I'm very much a person who enjoys perfumes and scents, though it is a rare product I use on my face that has any scent (one reason I love the Burt's Bees Orange Facial Cleanser, it smells wonderful, and use of ingredients such as real citrus fruit does not set my skin off). There is a stale olive smell to this soap, it's not enough for me to not want to use it, but there is no encouragement, no excitement about using this on my face either.
~The Ingredients,For Those Who Know What Their Skin Reacts To
Saponified olive oil, water, aloe vera, sodium chloride, citric acid (a natural ph balancer) and Fragrance.
Also from the label, this description "a natural moisturizing soap....(combining the)richness of olive oil...to nourish and moisturize..(with)Aloe Vera...acclaimed the "healing plant".
~Final Thoughts
Kiss My Face is a company I'm just being introduced to. I like that the statement on the label for their Olive Oil & Aloe Bar that this was "created without animal ingredients, artificial colors, unnecessary chemicals or animal testing." This is a soothing soap that has given my skin a rest as I continue my search for a product that will do it all for my changing skin. It will never be my first choice, but will be a staple product I can always fall back on, and trust to care for my skin - moisturizing it and healing any dryness. Easily found in my local grocery store, I feel it is a reasonable costing skin care product and well worth it's price.
Thank you for reading!
