Pros: like the look and counter depth.
Cons: poor quality, defects and not notified of defects
The Bottom Line: would not purchase another Whirlpool / kitchen / Aid product unless they step up to correct problems,

We were never notified of wiring being installed in foam to tightly in freezer door, that ice and water would fail, Kitchen Aid stepped up to the plate only after repeated calls and replaced door, door does not line up with other door and according to Kitchen Aid service Tech cannot be adjusted.
Day after new door replaced and wiring reattached refrigerator has stopped working. We have lost over $400.00 in freezer meats and refrigerated food.
Called Kitchen Aid / Whirlpool and they immediately said they would not do anything, I told them that we paid over $2400.00 for this refrigerator just over five years ago and feel that due to the problems should replace the refrigerator or at least pay for fixing and giving us a new warranty.
Not until I became assertive to them to respond in a positive manner did they agree to send out a technician to look at problem.
Orginal representative stated that she was sympathetic to my problem, however it was her management that makes decisions, management person I spoke to was very negative in the beginning asked me to repeat everything I had told other representative, when I asked her if the other Rep had not explained she then said yes , I still had to repeat everything.
Manager also said my refrigerator had not been registered, I then asked why I kept getting from Whirlpool / Kitchen Aid warranty extension requests if I had never registered the refrigerator, which I had registered
I feel Kitchen Aid should of notified all purchasers of this refrigerator of problem and that a refrigerator of this cost should last longer then 5 years
