This cooktop (kecc568-white top)performs very well.It has great eye appeal. However, the major problem with this glass surface is that it requires a cleanup after every use.We purposely updated our electric panel (200 amp) to accomodate for the installation of this unit at a cost of $2500.00.Then we discovered that the top had to be cleaned every time we cooked. And, the cleanup was horrendous. We first used a damp sponge, then when we could not remove the dirt, we used a white cream cleaner (Home Depot-$5.00), when that did not work, we called Kitchenaid and they suggested we purchase a scraper from them ($8.95).This turned out to be a one sided razor blade. And, the scraping was difficult in order to achieve a clean top.We even purchased new stainless steel pots/pans thinking this might help, but to no avail. We still wound up having to rub and scrape.
