Argh! this has got to be noisiest and annoying stove on the market. We tolerated the high pitch noise for about 3 weeks (and with Xmas coming, there is no bloody way I'm baking a turkey in there for 6 hours) and that was it... We called Sears to book a service appointment, the tech was in the house no more than 5 minutes. Told us it was normal; we were informed we could return to Sears and pick a new stove. We did, however once we got there (of course) the sales people don't want that so we were encouraged to make a second appointment at which time they would make sure a senior tech would come to investigate... the more we think about it, it's going back! Too bad cause it really looks nice and when working is effecient (except for the noise).

The black cook top is also a concern as every little scratch shows but that appears to be the same with all black cook tops!
The touch panel on the front is extremely sensitive to touch, so if it is working (especially if you are using the timer) don't touch it, it will shut off.
