I am a Italian trained Chef and Pastry Chef, and after re-doing my second Kitchen in the basement I had decided to purchase a good mixer. After shopping for a while, I had decided to go with this model instead of the Bosh.

I wish that I had gone with my instinct and spend more money buying the Bosch, because this mixer is worth nothing.
I like bake, and bread is my speciality. Unfortunately with this mixer, I spend more time getting aggravated with it than the actual time that the mixer works.
To begin those over-payed engineer are saying that the mixer is able to mix 11 cups of flour which equals to 2.270gr, or 2..7 kg. or 6 lb. Well I have news for anyone this is a total joke. The mixer can barely handle 2 lb of flour, and not for to long otherwise it set itself in max speed to cool down. Yes it can only mix for 5 minutes with 1 hour of break in between loaves. What a joke for an "HD Heavy duty?????"
I am very disappointed with this piece of junk that I had to pay almost 300$ and can only handle a bit of flour. The only thing that this joke of a mixer can do is whip cream and egg-whites.
I would not recommend this to anyone.
DEcember 3dr up-date.
) The mixer like any other standar mixer comes with nothing, but teh standard accessories like a whisk, a flat beater, and a dough hoke.
2)The only thing that is dishwasher safe is the mixing bowl, because all of the other accessory will tarnish.
3) The noise level is awfull, and if you need a decibel reading I do not have the answer.
4) Yes teh mixer is heavy to lift, but can not handle anything more than a few cups of flour because it always overheats.
5) any attachment can be bought separatelly, but they are very expensive, and I will not waste any more money.
6)The corn is o ava=rage lenght, but I have not mesure it.
Overall, for over $ 300 at a regualar store this mixer is not worthed because it will not mix.
Calling Kitchen aid, what is the point? Talking to a consumer rap that does not cook and reads answer from a manual so tehy can score High with costumer sadisfation?? No thank you. I will buy a Cuisinart as soon as this thing will brake. Dec 02 '09
