Pros: do moisturize frequently wiped runny noses
Cons: slightly less absorbent
As long as I can remember I've had allergies. I was tested as a child and for a while took prescription medicines, but have since decided I don't like feeling obligated to take a medicine every day and instead just deal with my allergies.
That means I go through a lot of tissues. Usually I buy the normal Kleenex without any special features, and they more than meet my runny nose related allergy symptoms. However there are times when I actually have a cold and not just allergies that means I am blowing my nose all day.
During those times I make sure I have Kleenex Lotion Facial Tissue with Aloe & Vitamin E around. Once you use too many regular Kleenex your nose can get really raw. I've had it happen more than once. The great thing about these Kleenex is that they have enough lotion to gently prevent the rawness I've had at other times. Aloe and vitamin E are good for your skin and the lotion in these tissues does help moisturize after all the wiping that can occur in a bad cold day.
I've found that using these as soon as I find out it's a cold and not allergies prevents rawness, and that changing to these even after I've got a raw nose can help alleviate the rawness.
These tissues are thicker than normal tissues. I've never found one to rip on me during use. They seem to hold up very well.
Like all Kleenex products, I've found these easy to pull out of the box with seldom having any ripping or pulling out more than one tissue at a time.
The only negative to these tissues is that they aren't as absorbent. I sometimes use Kleenex to clean things or wipe up spills and these just aren't as good for that. The lotion does seem to repel some liquids and makes these not as good for cleaning. There is a little bit of texture to the tissues though and it's not like it repels snot, it keeps that in the tissue just fine.
Overall I've been very happy with these Kleenex. I'm so glad I found them several years ago, and always keep a spare box around in my closet for that time when a cold does come and I don't want to have a very red and sore nose.
