Pros: excellent sound quality, great subwoofer, 5.1 sound
Cons: a bit overpriced
The Bottom Line: if you are a gamer and have $400 to drop, get it by all means. if you just listen to internet radio, you can get by with lesser set.

| codeflux's Full Review: Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 5 Speakers |
i'm a gamer. fps - first person shooters. quake III arena and unreal tournament are my two games of choice. i've been using cambridge soundworks 4.1 system for about 1.5 years and have been saying to myself: why would i want to spend $400 on a set of 5.1 speakers if i have 4.1 already? well, one day i marched into compusa and bought klipsch promedia 5.1. took it home. or rather dragged - these puppies are heavy! unpacked 'em, plugged 'em in, fired up unreal tournament... wow!!! you can hear things coming from *behind*. the weapons fire is vivid, every sound is crisp and distinct. the base blows me away - the sub is awesome.
now, on to mp3's. everything you would expect and more. oh, and when klipsch sais it's 500 watts of power... - believe it. my eardrums are hurting still. :)
the only gripe i have is that the volume control can be jumpy if you adjust the volume slowly. it goes 33... 34... 35... 40... 31... but if you twist it quickly, it works just fine. the wires are good quality copper stranded kind, the speakers are solid, the sub is awe-inspiring.
