| majesticix's Full Review: Klipsch Synergy SC-1 Center Speaker |
This particular center channel speaker is perfect for anyone serious about home audio. I previously used a philips center channel which only used one 3" full range driver, frankly, that didn't do the job.
I now have my new Klipsch connected to my Sony STR-DE675 receiver pushing 100 watts. This center couldn't be better. Yes, it only has 5 and 1/4" woofers, however your bass is sent to the sub (which happens to be made by Klipsch as well), no need for any larger woofers I feel. This is in my basement and fully fills not only the downstairs, but my entire house. Any larger center channel would be a waste of your money unless your near deaf and really need to power up your system. (At half volume, my ears ring, and I currently have my receiver's center volume at -6 decibles).
You can't go wrong with Klipsch, they are one of the best speaker designers in the world. A Legend in Sound.
