What do you get when you combine a Scholastic Reader with LEGO? A great book called Knights' Kingdom: The Grand Tournament, a story for all young LEGO enthusiasts to read and begin a great reading adventure.
Written by Daniel Lipkowitz, this book is intended for children aged 4-8 years and has 32 fun filled, excitement building pages, to keep your child entertained.
Illustrated by Mada Design Inc. The illustrations are basic, nothing to write home about, they convey the text in an acceptable fashion.
A little snippet of what your child will discover when reading Knights' Kingdom : The Grand Tournament is that the knights kingdom has been taken over by the bad guy, by the menacing Dark Knight known as Vladek. This forces the good knights to embark on a quest to find the Heart of the mythical Shield of Ages. The only way the kingdom can be returned to it's rightful people is to battle and conquer the Dark Knight in a Grand Tournament. Sounds like a great adventure to keep your young one entertained with, and it is.
Being a big fan of LEGO and of course anything that has to do with fighting, this book was doubly appealing to my seven year old son. Samuel purchased this book from a Scholastic book order late last year and since then we have purchased several more in the series.
As an added bonus this book comes with a coupon worth $10.00 off admission to LEGOLAND California.
Thank you for reading, Cyndi
