odell2115's Full Review: Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer
We purchased the 5100 AIO as a Christmas present for my husband's grandmother.
After installing the first printer for her it would only feed blank sheet after blank sheet of paper. Brilliantly, we exchanged it for the same thing... installed it on Friday, December 28, 2007... guess what?! This time we got the flashing color and black & white cartridge lights. Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted the computer, tried to call the 800 # given... I sat on hold for 35 minutes before giving up.
Instead, I began sending e-mails as their support webpage states, "our goal is to respond within 24 hours." GREAT! right? Nope. After sending THERE e-mails over a 7 day period, I returned the printer and bought a competitor's brand... and they lived happily ever after...
But guess what?! SIX WEEKS after the first attempt to contact support I received an e-mail today, Thursday, February 7th, 2008 saying, "We received your e-mail regarding Kodak EasyShare 5100 All-in-One printer and appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.
Please do the following: 1. 2. 3.
If the problem is still not resolved, please do the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
If the problem persists, repeat the above steps.
If the problem still persists, clean the Printhead. See the User's Guide for your printer for more information.
If the problem continues after you have completed the above procedure, reply to this e-mail, stating that the instructions did not correct the issue. We we will replace the Printhead for your printer.

You can bet your bottom dollar that they have already received a response to their speedy e-mail. I have assured them that I won't have any further problems as I guarantee that I won't purchase another Kodak product.
