I purchased this printer on February 24, 2008. It worked fine until May 2008. I started having problems with the black prints coming out faded and lines through the characters. Then I started having problems with printing pictures. I had to continually clean the print head and calibrate the cartridges. I would only get 2 good pictures then I would have to calibrate the cartridges and clean the print head. I finally contacted Kodak through their online support. I received an email stating to do a bunch of steps that included removing the printhead and reseating it, calibrate the cartridges, clean the print head, unplug the printer to reset it etc etc. Nothing worked. After finally talking with Kodak a new printhead was sent to me. I was told that they had revamped their printheads so that the problems they were having would be resolved! HA! I received that new printhead in June. It is now September 2008 and the black cartridge started to do the same thing, faded print and lines through the characters. I emailed Kodak again and was told to call their support line. I was told by their support line to do all of the same stuff that I had previously been told before. I had already done that and nothing worked this time either. I even took out the black cartridge and replaced it with a new cartridge and the print was still the same. The cartridge that was in the printer still had a good amount of ink in it. I finally decided that I was not going to go through repeatedly replacing the printhead. I wanted a full refund from Kodak since this is a new printer. I was told I could not get a full refund as they do not do that. This printer is still under warranty. I was told I had to go back to the retailer to get a refund. The retailer will not honor a full refund since they only have a 90 day return policy. So here I am stuck with a printer that I do not like and would never purchase again. All they could do for me is send me a new printhead which I received. Kodak stick with the cameras, your printers suck! I already replaced this printer with an HP. I also filed an online complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Kodak because of them not honoring their warranty
