Pros: Easy to use, nice quality pictures/video mode standard memory and batteries
Cons: the usb port is under the battery door flap, which is a little awkward
The Bottom Line: I was really happy with the quality and features of this camera, I think it would be hard to beat getting this much out of any other sub $100 camera
dexelflot's Full Review: Kodak EasyShare C743 Digital Camera
I got mine at ecost.com for $89- it was a refurbished model. I thought it was super for the price. It has a big 2.4in LCD screen, modes for closeups and landscape shots, modes for indoor/outdoor/fluorescent lights, a flash, 7.1 Megapixels, 3x OPTICAL zoom (the good kind, not digital zoom)and more...
The menus are easy to navigate, the pictures are easy to get off the camera.
I also really enjoyed the movie mode- it has a built-in microphone and 30fps 640x480 vga, pretty nice, especially for little youtube and myspace videos.
It uses secure digital memory (SD cards), which are cheap and easy to find, and (2) standard AA batteries which are also cheap and easy to find. Like all digital cameras, it uses batteries pretty fast, (although nowhere near as fast as some other cameras I've owned) so I would recommend getting some rechargeable kind.
One slightly annoying thing was that the USB port is located under the battery door flap, which makes it a little tricky to get to. I guess it also keeps dust out of it, though, so maybe that is why Kodak put it there.
Overall, I would highly recommend this camera as an entry to the mid-range user there are lots of features and quality on this camera for the price.
