I've had this camera for about a year now and can say that I like it. It does several things better than my older Nikon Coolpix 3100. It has good optical zoom, better battery life and take great pictures in reasonable lighting conditions. The biggest major draw back I have with this camera is when it comes to macro shots (closeups). Basically it sucks. It's a sad day when a 3Mp 4yr old camera takes better macro pictures than a 1 year old 8Mp camera. Perhaps there is a way to fix this in the manual settings area, but why bother when I can just turn the Nikon on switch to macro and take the shot.
