I agree with you. My first shooting session with my new DX4330 was at night shooting Xmas decorations in town. The camera was mounted in a tripod and there was one particular picture that I fell in love with it. Took it to the local Walgreens to get a 8x10 print in the Kodak Picture Maker thingy there and the results were awesome considering that it was a night time shot at medium resolution. This particular shot happened to get the help from an auxiliary flash working as slave. I am not a pro photographer - I was with someone else better equipped than I am. While the lighting conditions of the foreground objects were vastly improved by the other flash, background objects with decorations jumped to the foreground due to its clarity and the contrast with the deep black sky behind them. Truly amazing results for a picture that was composed quickly without much planning.
As a side note, I saw the pictures taken by the other person that was with me that night and they were disappointing when compared to mine. They were taken on an APS camera with 800 film - very grainy and poor contrast.

I've used this camera a lot and made absolutely stunning 8x10s that have gotten all sorts of compliments. Weird to hear you're so unhappy with the picture quality - I've never had a digitized, rough, or blurry picture, even with a lot of cropping and enlarging!
